Dear Participants,

🎉🎉 Welcome to the Course! 

Welcome to “The Food Premise BeSS Starter Pack : Simple Steps for Success.” We’re excited to have you here! This course is designed specifically for newbies in the food service business like you, including food businesses such as cafeterias in schools, hospitals or corporate settings, catering services for weddings / parties / corporate functions, mobile food service (food trucks) offering a variety of dishes on-the-go, quick-service restaurants or cafes, self-service dining (buffets) where customers serve themselves and etc.

This pack is essential for those who are eager to master the essential practices of food hygiene in food service industries. Start your business RIGHT

 

                                   

In this course, you will acquire the knowledge necessary to establish a basic, safe and hygienic environment for food service industry, ensuring compliance with the latest applicable Malaysia regulations while safeguarding the integrity of your food business.

This course consists of 2 parts :

📍 Part 1 : Food Hygiene Control Program (we suggest completing this part first before transitioning to part 2) 

📍 Part 2 : Customize Your Own SOP Pack (To complete this part last)

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

✔️ Understand the Importance of Food Hygiene:

  1. Definition and importance of food hygiene
  2. Understanding food hygiene as the foundation in home-based business 
  3. Understanding food hygiene as the foundation in food business
  4. Impact on business due to poor food hygiene
  5. Recognize how proper food hygiene practices can prevent foodborne illnesses

  1. Key component of BeSS Program
  2. Role of business owner in BeSS Program
  3. Planning for an effective BeSS Program

✅ Part 2

Throughout this module, you will go through a cycle of post training application process, in accordance with below:

👉🏻 Course Revision

  • Participants will be able to refresh and  strengthen their understanding of the main points from what they learned in the training via this  course revision approach 

👉🏻 Conduct Self-Assessments

  • Participants will perform self-assessments to evaluate their existing food safety practices based on the knowledge or theory learned from the training. This approach is to promote critical thinking skills and helps to reinforce the key concepts learned

👉🏻 Develop Action Plans for Implementation

  • Participants will create a personalised action plan detailing how they will carry out the improvement to close out the gaps identified from self-assessment
