FSSC 22000
Food Safety System Certification (FSSC)
The certification scheme of FSSC is based on ISO 22000, technical specification of other industries (food, primary production, central kitchen, packaging materials, etc) and FSSC additional certification requirements. It addresses the requirements for the Food Safety Management System whereas technical specification detailed the specific requirements for pre-requisite programs for the manufacturers. The major difference in FSSC 22000 is that the industry is seeking consistency in the auditing & certification schemes. Audit can be performed by auditors from associated CBs who are approved by Foundation for FSSC.
