HACCP is a vital risk assessment tool to identify and managing food safety hazards  at every stage of food production. This includes evaluating raw materials, packaging and processing methods to ensure provision of safe food.

The Ministry of Health (MOH) launched the HACCP Certification Scheme to help food businesses elevating their food safety protocols.

The HACCP certification primarily targets Category P1, which includes all food premises involved in food manufacturing, with a particular emphasis on those aiming for product export.
